- Extremely Wide Measurement Range: The NICE family of vortex flow instrumentation can measure velocities over 250 ft/sec with typical off the shelf turn down of 40 to 1.
- Completely Maintenance Free Design: All of our vortex flow meters utilize ONE-PIECE element design with no moving parts to ever wear or fail. There are absolutely NO internal o-rings, seals or leak paths of any kind.
- Installation in Any Orientation: Our fixed element geometry, dual sensors outside of the tail piece and solid stainless steel construction give freedom to install our vortex meters in vertical pipe, horizontal pipe and in any orientation around the pipe
- Dual Sensor Technology: All NICE Vortex Flow Meters come equipped with dual sensor technology which filters out unwanted process fluid noise or vibration 200 times greater in amplitude than the vortex signals.
- Advanced Electronics and Hardware: All meters are two wire 24VDC loop powered including our MASS versions for saturated steam and gases. » What are the benefits of using an insertion vortex flow meter from Nice Instrumentation?

- Install in Tight Locations: All of our insertion designs can be installed through a 1 ½” hole that can be located in any orientation around the pipe. There is NO cutting or the pipe necessary. Our LPIV only stands 12 inches off the pipe giving flexibility for tight locations.
- Cost Effective Solution: Our insertion designs will require less man hours and equipment for installation than a traditional In-line flow meter. You will save a significant amount of money for 4” line sizes and above.
- All Hardware Comes Included: The Low Profile Insertion Vortex comes complete with all mounting and alignment hardware for installation. Nothing else is needed to get your LPIV up and running quickly.

» Why use an Orifice Plate when you can use a Vortex Plate?

- Wider Measurement Range: Our Vortex Plate has an off the shelf measurement range of 40 to 1 where a traditional Orifice Plate design has only a 5 to 1 measurement range.
- Recoverable Pressure Drop: The Vortex Plate has a high recovery rate of pressure drop where a traditional Orifice Plate design has a severe pressure drop that is non-recoverable and wastes system energy.
- NO internal O-Rings, Seals or Leak Paths: The Vortex Plate is designed from ONE-PIECE technology with NO o-rings, seals, impulse lines or pressure transmitters like an Orifice Plate.
- Maintenance Free Design: The Vortex Plate has no parts that can wear over time and no impulse lines that can clog or require maintenance like an Orifice Plate.
- Superior Accuracy and Repeatability: Our Vortex Plate has an accuracy of ±.5% of reading while always maintaining ±.25% repeatability unlike an Orifice Plate opening that wears over time and effects meters accuracy and repeatability. Orifice Plate will have to be replaced to maintain accuracy and repeatability while Vortex Plate will never need to be replaced.

- One Touch Programming: All Microtel Electronics Packages come complete with keypad and display. All parameters can be accessed via keypad and display.
- Two-Wire Loop-Power: All NICE Vortex Flow Meters, including our Microtel MASS MTX compensated models are two-wire loop-powered devices. Only need 24VDC to run volumetric and MASS models!
- Remote Mounted Over 300 feet: All Vortex Flow Meters can be remotely mounted using genuine TURCK Euro Fast connectors and cord sets for easy visibility and programming
